Why should you replace an old heating system?

At a certain point in time, after 15 years or so, it will make financial sense to invest in a new system.

The cost of maintaining and repairing a central heating system gets higher as it gets older. Corrosion, rusty pipes, sludge and other factors due to age may be making your home heating system less efficient than it should be.

Don’t forget that an older system will burn more C02 than a new energy-efficient system. C02 contributes to global warming.

An old central heating system could be running at 55% efficiency, which means you are throwing away half the money you spend on heating bills. Look on it as an opportunity to make your home more energy efficient. With an A-rated oil or gas condensing boiler, your impact on the environment will be reduced, you will improve your BER rating and you will save money on fuel costs.

Combine solar panels and zoning controls with your new system and benefit from even more gains in efficiency.
